Mary Frank
Office Manager

Mary started with Preferred Benefits in 1997 as an administrative assistant and as the company grew, became the Office Manager.

She is responsible for preparing marketing materials and presentations, spreadsheet preparation, and collating for client  presentations.

Mary is also the editor of the Friday News Brief, our internal computer guru and maintains the website.

Mark Pettitt

Mark became sole owner of Preferred Benefits in 2005, after starting in the insurance industry as a sales rep with Prudential, then joining Preferred Benefits in 1997 as a Group Benefits Specialist.

With over 25 years experience, Mark’s expertise encompasses “the whole picture” – guiding companies in creating healthy, high-performing workforces using in-depth financial, plan design and data analytics.

His experience includes working with public and private sectors, non-profits, union groups and government entities.

Seth Allen
Senior Account Executive

Starting out in the insurance industry on the carrier side with UNUM and The Guardian, Seth brought his experience and knowledge to PBS in 2004.

He currently serves his clients as their primary adviser – responsible for renewal strategy, financials  and overall plan management.

He is dedicated to ensuring client satisfaction and is involved in any escalated service issues, wellness initiatives and the open enrollment process.

Wendy Ryan-Garavuso, SPHR
Director of Operations

Wendy joined Preferred Benefits in 1997 after beginning her insurance career with Prudential.  With the increased demands on HR managers, she has continued to substantiate her 23 years of experience by earning her SPHR certification in order to better assist our clients.

Wendy also provides claims and  billing issue support, employee communication, case installation, renewal and open enrollment support.

Jason Bainum
Senior Account Executive

As a Senior Account Executive, Jason serves as the main point of contact for his clients, overseeing all aspects of the group.

His expertise includes strategy & planning for renewals, benefits marketing, accelerated service issues, employee education and financial meetings.

He joined PBS in 2014, with an extensive background in Workers’ Compensation benefits.

Linda May
Senior Account Manager

Linda has 25 years of group benefits experience serving both large, self-funded and small, fully insured employers. After a year-long sabbatical, Linda is excited to be working with and guiding her clients again.

As a Senior Account Manager, Linda is responsible for a full range of services for our clients including open enrollment assistance, compliance guidance, renewal negotiations, claims and billing advocacy and wellness services.

Brian Lenzo
Senior Account Executive

As a Senior Account Executive, Brian is the primary adviser for his clients, overseeing benefits marketing and administration, renewal negotiations and accelerated service issues.

Starting with PBS in 2009, Brian began in the insurance industry working on the carrier side with UNUM.

He has over 15 years of benefits and service experience and is also a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist.

Tammy Scott
Senior Account Manager

Tammy is a Senior Account Manager with over 25 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Her area of expertise is in the large group, self-funded market segment. In addition, she was the benefits manager for Kettering Health Network, a 10,000 life group in Dayton. At Kettering, she was responsible for overseeing their group medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans, work-site coverages, retirement and FMLA leave. Since she has been on both sides of the table, Tammy brings a unique perspective to our clients’ needs and expectations.

Dave Meinert
Senior Financial Analyst

As a Preferred Benefit Services Senior Financial Analyst, Dave’s responsibilities include offering customer’s decision support through insight into benefits Industry best practices, strategy for benefit design, financial and utilization data assessment, suggestions for plan communication and oversight of clients’ contracted vendor activity.

Dave has a deep understanding of the healthcare environment including legislative, economic and business trends bringing an experienced perspective to his interactions with customers.

Amy (AJ) Santos
Account Manager

With 11+ years of experience in consulting, AJ specializes in helping groups with 2-100 employees, serving as the primary advocate for their group benefits.  This includes assisting with marketing at renewal time and open enrollment education; direct employee contact for claims and EOB questions; HR compliance and billing inquiries.

Joe Prescott
Account Manager

Joe is an Account Manager responsible for client implementation and ease of administration with Employee Navigator, our online human resources management system.  He works in close contact with HR to facilitate set-up, employee onboarding and ongoing maintenance.

Joe also assists internally with client service and sales/marketing for small groups with 8 years of previous insurance experience.

Jodi Andruzis
Internal Service Representative

As an integral part of our team, Jodi provides internal support for our clients large and small by researching & resolving claim & billing issues, performing online enrollments and resolving eligibility issues.

Jodi also assists those looking for individual coverage and employees who become Medicare-eligible, helping them navigate the myriad of plans and choose the best fit for their needs.

Jodi has been with PBS since 2008 and has over 10 years of customer service and benefits experience.

Jon Cronin
Account Manager

Jon recently joined PBS, bringing his extensive industry knowledge to us with experience from both the carrier side and the brokerage side of the health benefits arena.

He has direct involvement with clients in the public and private sectors, both fully-insured and self-insured.

Jon works for his clients on renewal negotiations; assists employees with benefit and billing questions, and is responsible for overall client satisfaction.

Missy Thompson
Client Services/Operations

Missy joins the PBS team with 20+ years in Human Resources in both manufacturing and service industry. Although involved with many facets of the HR world, her strengths are employee relations and organizational management.

Missy provides support of our team at PBS including but not limited to working with clients on enrollment, billing and claim issues, training and auditing, maintaining our client database, spreadsheeting, the RFP process and small group marketing.

Molly Kelley
Account Manager

Molly has an extensive benefits background over the last 25 years, including self-funded and fully-insured medical plans as well as ancillary products.

Her past underwriting experience gives her an understanding of negotiations, risk analysis and revenue management.

She has a broad customer service background—serving as an advocate for employees and HR with claim questions, bill reconciliation, and employee education.
