Mary Frank
Office Manager

Mary started with Preferred Benefits in 1997 as an administrative assistant and as the company grew, became the Office Manager.

She is responsible for preparing marketing materials and presentations, spreadsheet preparation, and collating for client  presentations.

Mary is also the editor of the Friday News Brief , our internal computer guru and maintains the website.

Mark Pettitt
Chief Executive Officer

Mark became sole owner of Preferred Benefits in 2005, after starting in the insurance industry as a sales rep with Prudential, then joining Preferred Benefits in 1997 as a Group Benefits Specialist.

With over 20 years experience, Mark’s expertise encompasses “the whole picture” – guiding companies in creating healthy, high-performing workforces using in-depth financial, plan design and data analytics.

His experience includes working with public and private sectors, non-profits, union groups and government entities.

Sue Conner
Director of Client Services/Operations

Sue joined the Preferred Benefits’ team in July 2010, bringing her extensive industry knowledge to us at a crucial time as health care reform moved to the forefront of the benefits arena.

She has direct involvement with clients  in the public and private sectors, both fully-insured and self-insured.

She works with her clients on contract language and negotiations, financial and data analyses, and is responsible for overall client satisfaction.

Linda May, CWPC
Group Service Manager

Linda provides ongoing support to our clients in many areas including compliance, renewals, service issue support, facilitating employee communications, and assisting with open enrollment.

She began her career with Medical Mutual and United HealthCare, where she gained extensive knowledge in the industry and vast customer service experience, before coming to PBS in 2006.

Linda is also certified as a Wellness Coordinator and specializes in working with clients to plan and implement their wellness strategies.

Seth Allen
Group Benefits Specialist

Starting out in the insurance industry on the carrier side with UNUM and The Guardian, Seth brought his experience and knowledge to PBS in 2004.

He currently serves his clients as their primary adviser – responsible for renewal strategy, financials  and overall plan management.

He is dedicated to ensuring client satisfaction and is involved in any escalated service issues, wellness initiatives and the open enrollment process.

Wendy Ryan, CWPC, CHRS
Director of Account Management

Wendy joined Preferred Benefits in 1997 after beginning her insurance career with Prudential.  With the increased demands on HR managers, she has continued to substantiate her 23 years of experience by earning her PHR certification in order to better assist our clients.

She is also a certified Wellness Coordinator and works with clients to plan and implement wellness strategies throughout the year.

Wendy also provides claims and  billing issue support, employee communication, case installation, renewal and open enrollment support.

Brian Lenzo, CHRS
Group Benefits Specialist

As a Group Benefits Specialist, Brian is the primary adviser for his clients, overseeing benefits marketing and administration, renewal negotiations and accelerated service issues.

Starting with PBS in 2009, Brian began in the insurance industry working on the carrier side with UNUM.

He has over 15 years of benefits and service experience and is also a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist.

Danielle Irwin
Account Manager

Dani started her career in Human Resources with a strong focus on the benefit side of HR. Within her background, she developed skills in benefit set-up and administration, the open enrollment process and mergers and acquisitions.

As an Account Manager, Dani will be directly responsible for overseeing all facets of her clients’ benefit landscape, including: legislative compliance; open enrollment support; employee education, billing and claim support; renewal planning and financial analysis.

Jason Bainum
Senior Account Manager

As a Senior Account Manager, Jason serves as the main point of contact for his clients, overseeing all aspects of the group.

His expertise includes strategy & planning for renewals, benefits marketing, accelerated service issues, employee education and financial meetings.

He joined PBS in 2014, with an extensive background in Workers’ Compensation benefits.

Joe Prescott
Client Account Manager

Joe is our Client Liaison, responsible for client implementation and ease of administration with Employee Navigator, our online human resources management system.  He works in close contact with HR to facilitate set-up, employee onboarding and ongoing maintenance.

Joe also assists internally with client service and sales/marketing for small groups with 8 years of previous insurance experience.

Jodi Andruzis
Internal Service Representative

As an integral part of our team, Jodi provides internal support for our clients large and small by researching & resolving claim & billing issues, performing online enrollments and resolving eligibility issues.

Jodi also assists those looking for individual coverage and employees who become Medicare-eligible, helping them navigate the myriad of plans and choose the best fit for their needs.

Jodi has been with PBS since 2008 and has over 10 years of customer service and benefits experience.

Tod Lawrence, CHRS
Senior Account Manager

Tod works with our largest employer groups as a senior analyst who evaluates data analytics –  identifying risk areas to predict and control costs – plan modeling and loss history.

He also involved in plan renewal projections, marketing and negotiations.

Tod joined our team in early 2014, and his wealth of experience and knowledge comes from both the carrier and consulting sides of our industry.
